Nice work! Colors are right on. I can feel that deep grapefruit color inside.
I LOVE your work! This is my first time seeing it. I followed a link from another blog, and I am so glad I did. This grapefruit just glows.
Even the painting looks good enough to eat.
I like clicking on your images to see how you see the colors. The greens on the shade side scream
"citrus fruit " and the meat of the fruit says " Ruby Red ".

Bonnie - Thanks! I've recently started making the photos come up larger than before when clicked. Glad to know it's working to allow people to see more of the color and/or detail.
Janelle - It was seriously delicious!! I'm craving more looking at the painting again now...but The Husband only bought one, unfortunately. Let's see, what paints did I use...it was Permanent Rose, Cad Red Med., Titanium White, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Siena, and Cad Yellow (med or light, don't remember). So that means the Permanent Rose (which just seemed a more grapefruit-y color than my usual Alizarin) and the Ultramarine Blue and the Burnt Siena (Burnt Siena was only in the shadow, not elsewhere on the grapefruit) were transparents.
