What color is your parachute, er, avocado?

What color is an avocado?

This was challenging and really interesting; under the spotlight, all kinds of colors were present, though very little green, to my surprise (this was the "black" kind of avocado, not the greener variety).

Hi, Jala! Thanks for stopping by Brush and Baren, it's always great to discover new artists and their work. This is a GREAT avocado. Now can you please do something about their price at the grocery? ;-)

Jala, What beautiful, decadent darks you created in that avocado! WOW! I love it! I will never look at an avocado the same way again!
On another note, how do you set up your shadow box? Since I am a landscape painter I really know nothing about it. Would you explain?
Thanks, Loriann

Another beautiful example of your eyes talking to your art brain, which in turn has translated perfectly to your hand.
How do you get them to all be so well trained!!!
Mine seem to go out on unauthorized recess......

You've done an amazing thing--you've made a gorgeous, rich color that is so beautiful, and yet, nearly unnameable in this avocado. This is a lovely painting.

Thanks, everyone! Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. As we all know. :)
