Though I am in no way *ahem* old enough to remember film strips, there's something very appealing about a thing as big as the sky on a little piece of paper. I also like how you're portraying value with color in these clouds.
film strips? i remember when everything was in back and white and the american flag was projected on the screen as everyone stood and sang the national anthem.
I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. I am currently dedicated to exploring abstract and semi-abstract art, working in oil and also in soft pastel. I firmly believe that all human beings are creative, whether or not they have yet found an outlet for the innate creative urge, and that the creative arts are the highest form of human expression. Your skies are beautiful. Very Ethereal. You have a lovely blogsite. I always enjoy checking into it.
Love your strip. And also love the photo of the marionettes. The loungers are cute, too.
Film strips?! They had film when you were in school? We only had chalkboards...yikes. Now I've done it.
I'm really enjoying both your cloud studies and abstracted architecture. Really excellent work!
And, your animals are very photogenic.

HUGE fan of skyscapes. These are great. And I love how you include the cats and a photo from India in your posts - it's like getting 3 treats in one!
