- I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. Loriann - This was one of those kind of weird times when I reached for colors I don't normally use (that pinkish color, e.g.) and in combinations I wouldn't normally use, because they simply were telling me they wanted to be used. I was pleasantly surprised!
