The endless possibilities of color combination...ahhh. I just love it. And pastels are the best for just that kind of inexhaustible exploration. More art on my website: jalapfaff.com
Karen - I agree. So interesting how that can be made to happen sometimes.
Gwen - Thank you very much.
Sheila - Thanks. I wish you could too.
Loriann - This was one of those kind of weird times when I reached for colors I don't normally use (that pinkish color, e.g.) and in combinations I wouldn't normally use, because they simply were telling me they wanted to be used. I was pleasantly surprised!
I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. I am currently dedicated to exploring abstract and semi-abstract art, working in oil and also in soft pastel. I firmly believe that all human beings are creative, whether or not they have yet found an outlet for the innate creative urge, and that the creative arts are the highest form of human expression. Love the way these play off each other. Really beautiful, Jala!
Jala, this looks stunning. Wish I could see it close up and real!
