Loriann - Thank you. Yeah, that green area (which of course is richer in person), when I put it on, it just made my eyes and brain go "ooooohhh...."
Paula - Thanks. Yeah, when I walked in (late) to the room and saw her towering over us standing on the platform, it was like...Oh my god, how am I going to paint this?
Marian - Thank you. I used a lot of Terra Rosa and yellow ochre light for the skin in this one, and really liked the colors it gave. And I even used black in the back of the color, hair, and eyelash line. I almost never use black for anything.
Sam - gracias. Funny, but it's The Husband's favorite, too, and one of mine as well.
Edward - Thank you. I exaggerated the drama somewhat and liked how it turned out.
Jala, you have a special way with portraits. I use to fret about getting a good spot in class and inevitabley I would have to work around a 'bad' angle which gave me some real nice learning experiences!
