I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. I am currently dedicated to exploring abstract and semi-abstract art, working in oil and also in soft pastel. I firmly believe that all human beings are creative, whether or not they have yet found an outlet for the innate creative urge, and that the creative arts are the highest form of human expression. Wow, GREAT job, Jala - beautifully done!
Aw come on, Jala, do it again. Bet it'll get easier. ¡Es muy fabuloso!
p.s., sent you an email last week; may ahve landed in your spam folder.
Beautiful. If you did struggle...it was definitely worth it because we can't tell. And isn't that one key of great art?...it looks so easy, but...
I'm so glad we got this one out of you before never gets here. Quench.
Sorry, I can't remind you to never do it again, because you have to!! Those highlights, those colors in the water, the reflection!
Are you kidding me? This is wonderful!! Please do it again. I do love it when you have alla prima class night - I'll be watching for what you did!
You HAVE to do it again! Isn't it one of a set of 12 tumblers?
The other 11 in the cabinet will be so jealous.
You killed this one Jala.
I'm always reminded that the first 4 letters of painting begin with pain.
This is another beauty.
Edward - Thanks much!
Gracias, R - I "wrote back to you" in the form of a response comment (on my blog, not yours). :)
Loriann - Thanks. Perhaps, but sometimes a little less struggle is welcome.
Sam - Thanks. Yeah, never will come sooner rather than later.
Karen - Thank you! No time soon, that's for sure.
Laurel - Thank you. And I hope you enjoy Monk James.
Bonnie - You crack me up. I'll go out and smash the rest of the glasses in proactive defense now.
Brian - Thank you!
Oh wow, love those reflections. Excellent.
