Rumi, wondering when we'll be going to the vet. (Fennec didn't go to the vet--he was just hangin' out.) 

Reweighed Rumi today. As always, pretty much impossible to get an accurate weight on him, because he's a perpetual wiggle machine. But we think he is about the same weight as two weeks ago. He's still on steroids. I would so love to see him at a proper weight again, but the vet said not to panic as long as he's not actually losing any more weight.

I found this photo (below) on the internet. Normally I disapprove of dressing up animals in human clothes and the like, but I laughed so hard when I saw this, because I can tell this cat is a total Fennec kind of cat--super laid-back, just plump, lazy, and content with the world all the time. I so want to do this to Fennec now.

From the archives. Baby Gadjo...killing me with cuteness. He looked like a little koala.

Rumi looked so healthy--this was before he started losing weight. I'm worried about him. He's still on steroids and so far he's either staying the same, or gaining or losing a couple of ounces. Hard to ever get an exact weight, but the poor baby looks so thin. I'll be reweighing him again in a couple of weeks.

 Fennec likes to come and flop down between Mojito's arms. It used to make Mojito pretty nervous, but I think he's kind of gotten used to it.

Ugh. I'm always amazed anew by the force of migraines, how it's not just an excruciating headache but an entire-body systemic malaise. Woke up with one today. Took a med but it's not working too well this time.

Sometimes I get emails from some of you saying how much you enjoy following my blog. I don't always manage to respond, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate those messages (hi, Jennifer in Germany). And how much I also appreciate all of you who read and check in, even if I've never heard from you. (Don't feel obligated!)

The latest weird search terms that people used and ended up (accidentally, I'm sure) on my blog were: blissed-out, 2 headed things, and fainted dog the artist.

Rumi update: He's been on steroids for a while now. I brought him in for weighing a couple of days ago. Even with three people trying, I don't think we got an accurate weight on him. He's so excited when he goes visiting (including to the vet) that he just wiggles crazily and is in constant motion, with the scale fluctuating wildly. It's funny--but it's hard to figure out how much he weighs. I'll bring him back and try again soon.
