From the archives. Baby Gadjo...killing me with cuteness. He looked like a little koala.

Rumi looked so healthy--this was before he started losing weight. I'm worried about him. He's still on steroids and so far he's either staying the same, or gaining or losing a couple of ounces. Hard to ever get an exact weight, but the poor baby looks so thin. I'll be reweighing him again in a couple of weeks.

Diane Hoeptner made this awesome painting of Miss Lemon and kindly gave it to me. I tried to show Miss Lemon that she's a star and has been immortalized...but she was more interested in my doorman services.

Ugh. I'm always amazed anew by the force of migraines, how it's not just an excruciating headache but an entire-body systemic malaise. Woke up with one today. Took a med but it's not working too well this time.

Sometimes I get emails from some of you saying how much you enjoy following my blog. I don't always manage to respond, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate those messages (hi, Jennifer in Germany). And how much I also appreciate all of you who read and check in, even if I've never heard from you. (Don't feel obligated!)
