Seen a lotta marinara, baby

This old wooden spoon has seen perhaps at least ten years of spaghetti sauce, stir-fry, and sauté.  It must be tired.

It's also another of those unwitting, painful painting lessons about deciding to try to paint something "simple."

Jala,
I love the title!!! And the way you made such a "regular" object appear beautiful. How many times have I looked at my wooden spoon and not once said.."I'll paint that"? A testament to your vision and style!

Thanks, guys. I grinned when I thought of the title, too. I imagined it in a Bronx sort of accent.

You'd think I would learn about the "oh, that looks simple, I'll try to paint it" issue by now.
