Hi everyone, if you have information you'd like to contribute, please continue to leave comments on the previous "Easel recommendations" post.
Lynxie, chillin' in the papasan.
These guys were building an outdoor events stage for a school in Munnar. They got their Bollywood on when they noticed I was taking photos.
The Husband and I both are very drawn by the abstract artistic nature of old windows and doors. (Morocco and Guatemala are especially rich sources for this sort of thing; I'll have to try to find all those digital pics someday...) Below are some of the windows on the school where the guys were working. I took these partly to work off of for some future abstract pastels or oils, but they might just be too marvelous as they are and not lend themselves to being interpreted; we'll see.

p.s. word verification---nucklest
btw, notice that the dog did not go bollywood.
I really like this new palette and series you're working on, Jala. It is fabulous.
Oooh la la, I love this high key palette- as alluring as your " blue period ".
The photos of India are a treat. I too, thought the dog was bollywood blase`.
Now Lynxie- I've been so bereft of your image, I'm going to give your mother a break as she just exonerated herself for a long time with this photo.
Hope you're finally feeling better.
Love these doors and window. I think they're great as are, but also would be great as painting resources.
oooh love those doors and windows...they are interesting! Love the cat updates as always!
I'm a sucker for doors and windows. Love their symbolism and seeing the variety. Thanks for the response of that very cool hotel door. Sounds like a wild place.
Love the Bollywood builders! lol. cute :-D
wish I had easel recs, but I'm interested in the answer, too. I'm painting on an old easel that I have to put power grips on to keep the bottom shelf from crashing to the ground. pain in the tookas.
Your yellows shine from my monitor, almost too bright to look at! Well Done!
Sam - go ahead and do what you will with 'em.
P.S. Dogs are too smart to go Bollywood.
Hi Elizabeth, thank you! I nearly ran out of blues while doing the Chefchaouen series, so I had to switch to yellows. haha
Hi Bonnie - My blue period certainly didn't last as long as Picasso's, did it? Well, I intend to return to it at some point...like, when I run out of yellow. :)
Doesn't Lynxie look hilarious? I could squeeze 'im to death.
Hi Pam, Sandra, Liz- One of these days "when I have time (sigh)", I'll find the photos from doors & windows in Morocco and Guatemala, and we'll have a Door 'n' Window fest.
Kitty - What an honor to have such a blog visitor. Thank you, cheers!
