Koi

These remind me a lot of the innumerable koi I saw while living in Japan for six months, about two decades ago.

Lynx looks so sad and lonely here. This is one of his younger shots.

Koi and Coy.

Those fish glitter as though really in water. This is a beautiful piece Jala.
Suggests, implies, but lets imagination take over.
Is it pastel?

Lynx is just baiting you to become the parental suckers you have successfully become.
Smart Lynx.

I really like the curve of the fish -- in fluid motion. Nice color, too!

A great painting, Jala. Very nice design. It borders on abstract and representational which allows the imagination to go to work.

This has such a beautiful and spare quality to it.

Rahina - Thanks. That's one of those few successful times when you go, hmm, wonder what would happen if I put this wildly unsuitable color here... I wish you could see them in person too!

Bonnie - You come up with some great titles/wordplay. Yep, it's pastel. That Lynx...sigh. What a heartbreaker.

Donald - Thanks. This one I actually did several months ago but wasn't sure until now that I liked it. (Now I do!)

Bill - Thank you. I also find it has qualities of both, which is something I wish I could manage more often.

Karen - Thank you!

Gwen - Thanks! That Lynx, he's such a little troublemaker... ;)
