Untitled 62

Pastel on Sennelier La Carte, approx. 2 3/4" x 5."

Thanks to Casey for technical help--I was trying to figure out why I couldn't get my photos really big, the way I'd noticed on others' blogs lately. When it comes to visuals, if other people had bigger photos, then dammit, I wanted 'em too! (Though Casey astutely pointed out that extra-large size might not work so well for my long vertical paintings.) Turns out I somehow hadn't updated to the new Blogger editor. Any mistakes while I learn the new ropes are, of course, mine. My posts might look weird for a while while I get used to it. The first thing I noticed that irks me is that font choices are very limited, and the font I used before (Lucida Grande) apparently is not even available. Grrr.

Gadjo seems to be doing about the same, still. Has some symptom-free times but still some periods of what we have started referring to as "twitch attacks." The vet still wants to rule out simple injury, so we won't be starting any new meds or anything yet.

Miss Lemon appears to be disgusted by the weird, headless-Rumi shenanigans going on next to her.

Rent a headless Rumi for your next Halloween party!

New Blogger editor? Hmm...didn't know that, either! Everything looks fine, layout-wise, on this end.

This latest painting reminds me of a night-time city skyline as seen from a distance, and surrounded by lots of open land.

The "cat pile" is hilarious; I have never seen cats sleep like that before! If only *I* could sleep so easily as Rumi...I'm more like Miss Lemon in the first photo. Glad Li'l G is holding steady.

I wasn't aware of a new Blogger editor, either. I don't think I'm going to go looking for it, either. Can't handle change, sometimes.

Hi Sonya and Karen - Huh, I thought I was the only one left behind by technology! I wouldn't have bothered trying to deal with the new one either, except when I learned that one can have pics at XL size on the blog, then I realllly wanted to know how to do it!
Sonya - The cat piles around here are always insane, but the headless Rumi did give me pause.

This format looks better because of the size of the Cat & India pics - I noticed your abstract pastels were already posting big. I'd be mad to lose my font, too. Grrr, in solidarity.

I also didn't like the new way of posting videos - I used to enjoy cutting and pasting them into the post. Maybe I'll figure that one out, but for now I have succumbed to the icon/tool method blogger uses.

I am such a Neanderthal at computers, I really didn't like a number of the new things. But, with time I am getting the hang.

That is a cool use of brown over black, Jala. Your color taste is very keen.

Hi Casey - The vertical mini-pastels I'm keeping at "large," but have increased the others to "x-large." Maybe because I'm not used to seeing them like that, I'm wondering if they are TOO big.
I haven't tried posting a video yet. I'm still pissed off about my font.
Thanks about the color combo--I like to think so too. ;)

Your kitty pictures and stories make me laugh. Thank you. This painting reminds me of a city at night. You know when you stand on a hill (front large black mass) and look towards the city. The small black shape is the sky. Funny how our minds always create something we know from what we don't understand. These long verticals are exciting.
PS Glad to hear Gadjo is doing better.
