Circles diptych

The latest diptych...had a lot of fun painting this one. One of the more rare times (for me) when I had an image in mind first for an abstract and the end product didn't deviate much from the original idea. This was approximately four layers, painting knife, no brushes.

cool Jala. For me these become interesting in those little tiny marks and irregularities in the paint. Such a great contrast to the "bigness" and simplicity of the composition.

Versatilidad es la que llevas en tu sangre para pintar. Si aun hablas y escribes en español favor te pido para que escribas un comentario de mis pinturas. El trabajo que haces es maravilloso.

Great texture! I have a "thing" for circles and these are wonderfully interesting. Love the scratchiness and the way the color sinks into it.

Hi Gwen - Thanks! It's funny, I'm really a rectangles kind of person...but was drawn to the idea of this. I hope to do a much larger version of a circle painting or diptych soon!
