Sweet pea in spice jar

Sold.

I was pleased with how this sweat pea painting from last night turned out. I was going for simple and fresh, wanting to represent the feeling of the flower itself. It's in one of those old-fashioned spice jars where the wire on one side comes over and seals the lid down.

And then there's the photo of the other sweet pea...

Dana - Thank you--that's exactly what I wanted it to feel like.

Fabio - Obrigada, eu tambem gostei muito dos cores no resultado.

Jala, you've been doing some GREAT paintings in the last little while, and I've enjoyed your pictures and fawnings over your new little pal (who's cute as a bug by the way). But it looks like the Lynxster isn't too fond of what he found on your finger...hope it wasn't cadmium anything...ha! Just give him the cheese that he craves and it's all okay.

What a lovely lovely gem of a painting. It's simplicity causes you to stop and take another longer look. Beautifully done

p.s. your new addition is adorable. I don't know how you can get anything done with that little sweet pea looking at you

Jala, I love your sweet peas, both kinds, the feline and the canvas! Your color combo on the canvas is super, very well done! The feline is also terrific in a different way! Thanks for sharing!

I love the loose brush strokes and the pop of color that comes from the flowers. I'm absolutely enjoying your pictures of your new addition; I don't see how you get any work done at all with that cutie around.

Love both your sweet peas. Nice brushwork on the first sweet pea.

Wonderful painting! I really like the touch of blue in the jar and water that really sets it off from the background and gives it substance -- and yese, the pink against the gray is perfect!
Now how did you get that little kitty to wink?!

What a perfect little painting. Love those bright splashes of pink.

Little Lynx is too adorable! He looks just like my Smoki when she was little. That Siamese attitude starts young, huh?

Susan - I'm NOT getting much done. Thanks, I like what you said about the simplicity.

Nancy - Thanks for looking.

Rahina - Interesting. Yet another example of something unplanned but ultimately effective.

Kerrie - I'm really getting almost nothing done thanks to the midget.

Loriann - Don't like the brush strokes on the second sweet pea? ;)

Donald - Thank you. He's just the winkin' kind.

Gwen - Got a photo of your cat?

Brian M - Thanks! I was very happy with it.
