The rain has not abated. Isn't anyone out there doing that anti-rain dance? Let's see, what kind of an ark do you think I can build in my studio out of paintbrushes and canvas?
I'm beginning to get more intuitive with my color in these abstracts--not giving any conscious thought at all to the color wheel during the often fast-and-furious painting process--and I'm really liking the result.

I like the bits of reds/oranges showing through in the background. I had to laugh when I read your blog. It sounds just like mine!
I love these new abstracts. The layers in them remind me of Philip Guston's work. Nice.
great colors and depth, I like this piece!
The warm colors and lively brushstrokes really draw in the viewer. Love it!
Hey, no complaints about this blessed rain! Remember the previous 10-year drought; nothing to paint but rocks. Glorious flowers now thrive all around us; irises as high as an elephant's eye and cornflowers bluer than the true blue sky.
I really like this. Wonderful colors, from the subdued to the intense, and great textures, too.
Pam - Indeed! :)
Loriann - Thanks, that's pretty cool to hear.
Sandra - Thank you.
Janelle - Thank you. Actually, it's painting knife, no brush, but I know what you mean.
Sam - Yeah, I know, I know.
Donald - Thanks!
