Vantage point

It started out innocuously enough. Rumi was hanging out on the windowsill, watching the squirrels. Gadjo decided he needed to do the same. But being smaller, he had to stand on a stack of DVDs on his hind legs, and on Rumi's shoulders with his front legs, to see better. Then he decided he needed an even better vantage point...

(Think of this series of photos as one of those old-fashioned flip books.)

Just finished planting all our cool-weather veggies.

The Husband got a new job and leaves tomorrow for a brief gig in Australia.

My computer developed poltergeists.

The Husband's job got him a new computer, so I have inherited his. What timing!

Fortunately, I've left Miss Lemon to hold down the fort.

When we open the living room windows, the cats like to lie in the open window, pressed up against the screen. The Husband caught Lynx on camera attempting to make a graceful exit.

That would never happen to our skinny little Gadjo.

Best friends.

Now let's talk about Lynx, for a moment. He has gotten larger and larger and larger. I knew he was going to be a big cat, but still, it's shocking. You have to consciously bend your knees when you pick him up to avoid throwing your back out. The other day I looked down at him and realized he reminded me of something...  I pondered and eventually realized that what he reminded me of visually was the famous Little Prince drawing:
