OOOH I love how that mauve-y pink does the resonance dance atop of the green underneath. A great play with color and texture. The India photographs all have the element of abstraction and composition ( excluding the people shots ) - the artist's eye at work again. Rumi's eye is barely at work again.
I would like to request your entire cat colony should you ever decide you don't want/like/need/love them anymore. I'll wait.........................................................
Hi Caroline - thanks. It's strange, I've been using pinks a lot lately. I guess it's the influence of the spring. I have been missing painting large oils a lot. I need to start again.
I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. I am currently dedicated to exploring abstract and semi-abstract art, working in oil and also in soft pastel. I firmly believe that all human beings are creative, whether or not they have yet found an outlet for the innate creative urge, and that the creative arts are the highest form of human expression. These last few pastels are beautiful, Jala. Wowie colors! I've missed a lot since I was here last, but I see the kitties are still doing fine.
Thanks, Donald! I'm definitely having fun with tasty color. The kitties are great, thanks, and come back soon.

Jala this is a beautiful painting I would love to see these at a 50 x 50 cm so you can feel the atmosphere that the colours give against a white wall.
Hi Bonnie - duly noted. :D
