No accident, you creative being you, that your color theme runs through this post- the soft, neutrals of the cobblestones, to your muted pastel. I'm thinking it must be the pastel dust that hypnotizes your cats and induces them to sleep in a heap on each other. Glad to see Lynxie joining the fray. I'd like to see your pastels in person to really appreciate the layers of colors and how they interact.
the lovely pastels go so well with the cobblestones! wonderful use of color! and the sleeping kitties are beyond precious! again, i leave your blog fulfilled!
I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. I am currently dedicated to exploring abstract and semi-abstract art, working in oil and also in soft pastel. I firmly believe that all human beings are creative, whether or not they have yet found an outlet for the innate creative urge, and that the creative arts are the highest form of human expression. Thank you for posting your serene pastel paintings and your serene sleeping kitties (and dogs) and the lovely India shots -- it is very relaxing!
