Untitled 96

Pastel on Sennelier LaCarte, approx. 2" x 5.5".

-----

Things have been difficult and chaotic lately. The Husband, who had been looking for work for some time, found a new job a few weeks ago...and lost it a couple of days ago. Then there was the termination of the old health insurance, the figuring out the new one, and now the termination of the new one.
Back to square one.

I got a bit of good news today, though: found out I got juried into Open Studios again. Please come if you are in Boulder the first two weekends of October!

Gadjo! looks so bonny in the sink! I hope hubby finds a new job soon. I understand about the stress of this as my husband is on contract work and it seems difficult to find a permanent position. Congratulations on the jury show Jala!

Love this latest painting. That dark blue is great with the earthy neutrals.

Man...the job and the health insurance issue. What a nightmare. Sending my wishes that it all resolves sooner rather than later.

The Sink photos are great; I bet now that he's discovered the joys of the sink, you'll find him in there more often...esp. in the summer.

Congrats on the Open Studios, although I'm not surprised you were juried in.

Yes, first, Congratulations! And having been through the whole job/insurance loss and gain, and loss and gain roller coaster I can completely identify with your stress. Good luck to The Husband on the job front though. Cat in the sink! Love it.
