Where there's smoke...

Here we go again... I can't believe how many fires we've had in just a couple of months. This one's the closest one yet to our house. People just five blocks away have been evacuated. So far, we're still fine and un-evacuated. The air quality is horrible, and since my respiratory system suffered so much in India, I seem to be extra sensitive to the smoke and ash in the air now.

That's The Husband's photo. That park is two blocks from us and that's when the first smoke started pouring over the mountains (the mountains start six blocks from our house).

Send us some good luck like we had last time to remain safe and not have to evacuate!

I thought you might like to see Lynx's and Miss Lemon's lovely cataloons:

Damn it Jala- this is too much. I'm ever so praying for your safety and a shift in the winds.
Waiting it out must be a misery.

Don't stay in the smoke to long. Take care of your health first. I do pray that the slurry bombers keep the fire at bay and away from your home. Stay safe my friend.

I am so sorry. After fires here and 110F heat here in Moscow I understand so well the "no air to breath" situation. Please be careful and have the rains!

Just catching up and read of your close call! Thank goodness all was well. Hope you're feeling better and a little less sad today.

How distressing :( and the air being all smoky is awful :(
My new little girls are going to have kickin' cat-a-loons too. I love that look.
We used to call them 'shorts' on Wendell.
