Close-ups

By popular request, it's close-ups day. The first couple are detail shots of Untitled 23, and the next bunch are from Untitled 22. Both paintings are oil and cold wax.

And it's been a while since we've checked closely on Rumi's dentition...

Bonus pic: Rumi's tummy, for virtual snorgling:

The close ups are like a weaving of sorts. Very tactile, textile. Maybe a sub- conscious influence.
Rumi, however, as a close-up looks less textile-y and more reptile-y.
But in a good and delicious way.

Enjoying the close-ups. Love 23!
Looking at Rumi and thinking what an innocent little nose but the teeth tell a different story ..... as do the blue stained socks in a previous post.

These are great and I bet they carry a dramatic impact in person.

Pam, thank you.

Thanks, Mona. It was indeed.

Loriann - A virtual snorgle to you. You're welcome.

Bonnie - Ah, Rumi, my delicious reptile...

ArtPropelled - Yep, sometimes innocent and sometimes very naughty.

Thank you, David.

Neva - Please see several previous posts of mine (during and after my recent workshop) for a full discussion of the technique.

Thanks, Lisa.
