I love these colors and the tight, tight value range between them. The power of the color shift is gorgeous and incredible! Always love your work...

Is it odd to say that the cloud painting looks edible? The colors just look delicious together, and yes, like a scoop of whipped gelato or something.

The Jaipur photo - what a glorious blend of color, shape and texture! I would have a blast there with my camera.

Laurel - You understood immediately what I was attempting with this one!

Sonya - That's how it looks to me too. :) Yes, Jaipur would tickle your camera to no end. In fact, most of India, if not all, would.

As pure abstraction this is beautiful.
I'm curious to know: when you start these cloud/ice cream paintings, do you start with intent, or do you let it take you where it goes unconsciously?

Yes these are beautiful colors that work so well off each other. Ice cream... or maybe cotton candy in a new color!
Then I look at the animolecules and can't help believing you are channeling them in your paintings, or they are channeling your paintings in their postures. I mean, just look at the inspiration there.

Hi Donald and Bonnie - Ice cream or cotton candy...indeed. Rumi (and all animolecules) is inspiration enough for a world of art. Bonnie, it depends....sometimes I just grab a color that's calling me and see where that goes, other times I decide to try various challenges, e.g., in this case, Can I make a sky/cloud study with virtually no value changes?
