Hi Jala, Sorry that I have been a rather absent blogger :-( I am not a fan of abstracts (probably because I am too dumb to understand them!) but your Chefchaouen series is wonderful. I especially like no.4, it just seems so balanced in colour and composition and I find it very compelling (for reasons I am too dumb to explain ;-) Your daily paintings are, as ever, wonderful because your palette and colour sense sets you apart from so many of your fellows.
I never knew that you were the author of Seducing The Rabbi ............... now I'm doubly impressed :-)
Hi Kelley - I think it's a big fake moustache, a bad disguise...
Hi Paul - Hey, we're all absentee bloggers most of the time. Me included. You just DID explain why you like it! See? You are good with abstract art!! :D Yep, I'm an author too. Cheers.
I'm a painter (and writer and Spanish instructor) living in beautiful Boulder, Colorado. I studied classical art in an ARC (Art Renewal Center) school, Colorado Academy of Art, full-time for two years, in order to benefit from the rigorous atelier-style training. I am currently dedicated to exploring abstract and semi-abstract art, working in oil and also in soft pastel. I firmly believe that all human beings are creative, whether or not they have yet found an outlet for the innate creative urge, and that the creative arts are the highest form of human expression. I just adore your kitty pics. Beautiful texture...
And the mustache is good - I'd never have known it was a kitty cat. Kind of a Salvador Dali look, eh?
Fantastic series of blues! And moustache!
Hi Bill, thanks, so do I. :)
Patrice, thank you. You're right! It's the ultimate Dali disguise!! :D
Thank you, Husband.
Um, I think this is technically called a 'nose warmer'... He is too much!
