Untitled 176

Pastel on UArt, approx. 5" x 6".

The background color of this piece is a little more blue in real life than it appears here.

We got totally pounded with snow again last night--exactly one week later. It's making me feel weary and hibernate-y.

Fennec feels the same way.

wish you had taken a photo of the snow Jala! your wee painting has a feeling of night time. Quiet yet dark too.

I think it's going to be a long winter. This painting reflects that somber feeling.
One foot in front of the other....

That bright turquoise on the bottom is just waiting to take over, I think... Snow? Too early. Here's hoping it's not a long cold one!

Hi Caroline, go down a few posts. There's a photo of last week's snow dump. Looked exactly like this week's! I like that this reminds you of "night." I can totally see that now that you mentioned it.

Mary - Oh, don't say that about the coming winter, I won't be able to bear it! You'll help me?

Donald - See my comment to Mary. I agree, too much snow and too early (though not actually early for Boulder). I like what you said about the turquoise part!

Helen - Thank you!
