Untitled 77

Pastel on Sennelier LaCarte, approx. 2.5" x 4.5".

Best friends.

Now let's talk about Lynx, for a moment. He has gotten larger and larger and larger. I knew he was going to be a big cat, but still, it's shocking. You have to consciously bend your knees when you pick him up to avoid throwing your back out. The other day I looked down at him and realized he reminded me of something...  I pondered and eventually realized that what he reminded me of visually was the famous Little Prince drawing:

What do you think? Has Lynxie swallowed an elephant?

You really made me laugh out loud when I read about your wonderful big cat growing up to be so large. Maybe he had some of the 'eat me' cake from Alice in Wonderland that made him grow so much! Lovely painting Jala it is very peaceful to gaze upon.

I really like the simplicity of this latest painting. Peaceful, like Caroline said.

Lynx - ha ha ha! Wow, he really is a big boy, isn't he? Gadjo is dwarfed next to him.

Jala! Le Petit Prince...J'adore cette histoire :-)
Having said that, I am here to tell you that Lynx has NOT swallowed an elephant - he is simply "bien portant". There is a difference you know...
*wink*

Hi Caroline - Glad it made you laugh. He ate SOMETHING, that's for sure.

Hi Karena from my cats, and thank you.

Hi Sonya - I am all about simplicity. Lynxie is enormous, yeah...the vet is going to be mad when she sees him next for his yearly checkup (in about 6 mo.s or so?). I know the word "diet" will pop up. But I don't think it's possible to have one cat on a diet and four others not on a diet. He's just a biiiiiiig boy, our Lynxie.

Viviane - Moi je l'adore aussi! Mon dessin prefere' c'est le renard. Ou peut-etre le serpent du sable. "Bien portant"--I'll tell Lynxie that. He'll be happy to hear it. ;)
