Pears, lemons, they have this effect on me too! I love the way you have put that rich moody blue on the left of the pear and blended it to the back. This pear has attitude, well done Jala. r.

I know what you mean--pears are a lot more difficult than they look! But there is something so satifying about painting them. Love the color in the shadowed side--gorgeous!

The strokes, the crazy foreshortening and curvature of a fruit that turns its' back on you and then comes around and gives you a wink from its stem.
And then there's that turquoise undershadow!
There would be only one way to improve that pear- a chocolate sauce.

This pear is killer Jala. I'm lovin' those blues in the shadow and the overall looseness, and that delicious little highlight right in the center.
