Echinacea

The Husband just bought a few of these to plant near our deck. I love the sort of droopy yet elegant shape.

How very sweet. I feel like that precious bloom right now.

Jala this is beautiful! I love the way you modeled the color of the petals...not easy with that color! this is so graceful as are all your flowers!

So this is what Echinacea looks like. Very pretty. Love the gray background next to that gorgeous magenta. Your signature is very cool too. It looks almost leaf-like here at first glance.

Hi Jala...hum.we don't have this flower in Brazil. Nice work, I like the background and the contrast between background and the flower color (it's a dark rose, I don't know how to describe this color..)

simple and beautiful Jala. I love the colour choices you made around this little creature.

Gregory - Thank you. It's definitely the aspect I wanted to emphasize, the shadow and light on this particular bloom, so I'm glad you noticed!

Tina - You feel droopy yet elegant? :)

Sandra - Thank you, and you are absolutely right, that color can get so out of control so quickly!

Gwen - Thanks. Yep, turns out that echinacea tastes horrible (e.g., the tinctures one tries to take when one has a cold) but looks very nice. :) I like how the signature appears to you, too. That's very cool.

Fabio - Acho que ese cor se chama "magenta" em ingles. E em portugues? Talvez voces nao tem essa flor mais tem muitas otras preciosas. :)

Leslie - Thanks! She WAS a moody flower. She reminded me a bit of the Little Prince's rose.

Rahina - Thank you so much.

I so love the way you can paint dark and keep life and vibrancy so evident.
That flash of pink petal! It is just as this flower looks.

Oh, everyone said it already: Very pretty etc... It really is. The pink looks so striking on the gray, really nice.
