Untitled 26 (oil)

12" x 12". Oil and cold wax.

Can I just say that my allergies are killing me? (Hayfever, aka ragweed-pollen allergy.) With all the extra rain and humidity this year, the plants are mutants. Even on allergy meds, it's worse than it's ever been.

I will be leaving on Tuesday for India, strictly a business trip this time, but hopefully amidst all the chaos I'll be able to get some more photos for "y'all." Really, in India, all you have to do is take the cap off your camera lens, turn it to "on," and start shooting. Hard not to get interesting photos.

Trying to figure out why this is so cute...maybe because he looks like a furry fetus?

I think this is one of my favorites of your cold wax/oils to date (along with the orange triptych). It is cool and refreshing without being "cold".

That is a major bummer about your allergies; I was incapacitated by them when I lived in SF many years ago. Nothing worked...except moving away from CA.

Have a safe, fun and productive trip to India - will look forward to the photos :). And Rumi...I just want to pick him up and cuddle him like a baby.

Hello Jala
It is a while since I last visited your blog. It is always good reading your entries, along with your wonderful creative artwork.
Sorry to hear of the dreaded hay fever. Have a great time in India.
Kind Regards

Thank you, Sonya. How's life in cowboy country? I'm surprised you didn't have allergies on the east coast! Will take lots of India pics for you. ;)

Hi Trevor, thanks for coming by and visiting. We work in very different styles but I also enjoy going and seeing what you're up to. Cheers!

This piece is really luscious, Jala. There is such a nice sense of calm, simplicity and sense of thoughtfulness.

My family all suffers from severe allergies and have for years gotten regular shots. There is, however, a new sublingual treatment that is supposed to be as effective. We're ready for relief too!

Wishing you fewer allergies and a fabulous time on your trip, taking photos and taking care of business.

Hi Anita - Thanks much. I admire your pastels very much too. Come visit again soon.

Hi Melinda - Thank you. I was really pleased with how this came out too. Allergies...ugh. Have had them since puberty. My brother has them too, we got them from our father. We had shots for years and years as kids and teens...I don't think it ever did a bit of good. I live on Claritin every summer and it's still really miserable until the first frost.
