Many, many cats have herpes without symptoms (perhaps 80% or more of cats have it). The symptoms usually flare up from stress. Hence, shelter kitties will often show symptoms even when a happy housecat may not. We hope Rumi's symptoms will at least abate somewhat once he's all settled in. It's incurable, though, just like human herpes virus.Jala Pfaffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01186623108399217523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8162020605981984694.post-31442667192719108542009-10-28T06:20:45.904-06:002009-10-28T06:20:45.904-06:00Yummy pastel... And about the kitty's eyes - sometime look at petfinder.com and see how so many homeless kitties have one eye larger than the other - I always thought it was just genetics gone bad - but a SWOLLEN eyeball? Do we know what causes that?Kelley Carey MacDonaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14667693715096070393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8162020605981984694.post-51045057056582198242009-10-26T17:20:04.121-06:002009-10-26T17:20:04.121-06:00I think that's pretty cool how this piece evol...I think that's pretty cool how this piece evolved.

You are taking such good care of Rumi.
